Trivia Rules

Teams: Teams consist of 8 persons. Teams who have registered together will participate together at an assigned table. Teams made up of individual registrants will be assigned a table upon arrival. Topics: This is a 1960s-themed event so make sure to brush up on your 1960s trivia. Topics will consist of but are not limited to, sports, literature, history, entertainment, science, technology, etc. Each round will consist of questions from one of the topics presented.

Rounds: Number of rounds and questions within each round to be determined.

Questions: The Master of Ceremonies will ask all the questions. Each question will be read 2 times. After the second reading, the 30-second clock will begin. Each team will have 30 seconds to discuss and write their answer on the paper provided. A 5-second warning will be given. When the 30 seconds are up, the team captain will turn in the answer sheet to one of the scorekeepers. Once the sheets are collected the Master of Ceremonies will reread the questions and then read the correct answers.

Scoring: For each correct answer, a team receives 1 point. There are NO penalties for incorrect answers. The judge's decisions are FINAL.

Free Passes: Each team has the opportunity to purchase a FREE PASS for $20.00 each. Limit 2 passes per team. Free passes can be used to pass on a question and still receive a point.

Winners: There are two ways to win. 1) The TRIVIA contest winners will be ranked 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place based on their earned points. The 1st place team will go home with a prize. 2) The TEAM with the best 1960s costumes will win the costume competition, so the game is on! Only 1 TEAM wins the costume competition. The costume winners will take home a prize.
