Designed for Grades 5 and Above
Allow 1-hour minimum
Price: $8.00 Per Student + $25.00 Non-Refundable Deposit
Overview: Be A Curator is designed to give students an introduction to using artifacts to tell a story. They will use items from the Museum’s Education Collection to guide their understanding and study of provenance research and interpretation. Artifacts and primary sources aren’t just for looking at anymore, they are tangible pieces of evidence that guide students' connectivity in their understanding of our collective history. Using museum documents and principles, students will craft their own appreciation of informal education and the way in which museums provide context to the subjects presented. This program is a completely hands-on program but does include a guided gallery tour. The tour will touch on the historical elements presented but will also focus on the larger context of museum interpretation.
